The children are taught in two small classes: KS1 and KS2. Both classes have Teaching Assistants working with them which means a ratio of children to staff smaller than in most independent schools.
Children experience bespoke learning - lessons can be tailored to their needs as class sizes are so small. The maximum number of children in any year group is 7 so the maximum class size of KS1 is 21 and KS2 is 28. Currently classes are very small so the benefit to the children is huge.
Having mixed-age classes also means that children can be taught according to where they are developmentally enabling children who are Gifted and Talented and those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to work at a level appropriate to them.
