First Aid Training

The children at Huxley and Utkinton, from Years 1 to 6, were lucky enough to have a visit from the St John's Ambulance team this week.  On Monday, the Upper Juniors had a full day of First Aid training; on Tuesday morning, the children in Years 3 and 4 received a training course; on Tuesday afternoon, the children in the Infants were able to learn the basics of First Aid and how to make an emergency call.  The sessions were informative, enjoyable and very important.  We hope, of course, that none of the children ever have reason to use their newly-acquired skills, but if the worst case scenario was to occur, they are now very well-prepared.
