Tim Peake Primary Project

Lesson: Science

This morning the Y5/6 children from Huxley and Utkinton took part in a very interesting and enjoyable activity related to the Tim Peake Primary Project, which both schools are part of.  Our space ambassador Sue Andrews came to visit us and tell us about the various rovers which have travelled to Mars recently, and presented the children with three soil samples.  The task was to determine which sample was from Mars, based on the information we had been given.  Using a range of analysis, filtration and separation techniques, the children discussed and decided which sample was the Martian soil!  Watch this space (pun intended) for more developments on the TPPP.
