Year 5 and 6 Grammatical Development

Year 5 and 6 children have been working hard with Miss Miller this week as they have been preparing to write postcards in the role of a character from their book ‘Time Travelling Cat & the Ancient Egyptian Goddess.’ Writing sentences which include modal verbs and adverbs, they have been discussing where these can be placed within sentences and the impact of this, before then writing their own postcards using this knowledge to create effect.
